As of 31st of March 2009 all CORGI registrations will end, all fitters then require to be registered with Gas Safe Register to be able to legally carry out any work.

The Fireplace Superstore has been pre-registered with GSR so as of the 1st of April all fitting work will be carried out as normal.

"Gas Safe Register will replace CORGI gas registration in Great Britain on 1 April 2009. It will be the official industry stamp for gas safety."

"The Health and Safety Executive, who is responsible for regulating gas safety in Great Britain, will oversee Gas Safe Register."
